
William Schmidt recently presented our state-of-the-art welding robot at the CTE Academy Welding program, demonstrating its innovative capabilities and flawless integration into ongoing shop projects.
Taking it a step further, he collaborated with a specialist from the Miller Welders automation team to dive into advanced industrial systems, sharpening his expertise and gaining insights into cutting-edge technology.

Sidney Stewart exemplifies hard work, dedication, and quiet leadership. “When she does something, she gives one-hundred ten percent, and her dedication is infectious,” shared Ms. Martin, her Agriculture teacher.
As a CTE Academy student, Sidney has excelled in FFA, Horticulture, Ag Leadership, and Small Animal Science. She is admired for her intelligence, reliability, and commitment to excellence, serving as a role model for her peers. Ms. Martin added, “No matter the day, I can count on Sidney to put a smile on my face.”
A Jefferson Cavalier and devoted FFA member, Sidney shines in LDE and CDE competitions, dedicating her spare time to studying and preparing for success. Her passion and drive make her an invaluable member of both the CTE Academy and the FFA community.


The Human Services class is spreading warmth and cheer by making tie blankets for Project Warm-Up! 🎁🪡 Students are having a great time creating these cozy blankets while listening to holiday music. Such a wonderful way to give back to the community! 🎄✨




The Culinary classes baked up some holiday magic by creating their own gingerbread houses for the ProStart Competition! 🎄✨

Ashlyn Gramm, a senior from Lincoln High School, embodies leadership, dedication, and a passion for animal science. Reflecting on her future, Ashlyn shared, “I want to go into animal science, and CTE helped me finalize my decision on that!”
As our “See the Vision” winner, Ashlyn’s love for animals shines daily. She takes charge of animal care, ensures tasks are completed, and consistently demonstrates initiative and responsibility without needing to be asked. Her Ag teacher, Ms. Martin, shared, “She blew my socks off!”
Beyond her work ethic, Ashlyn is a kind and inclusive friend, making sure everyone feels valued and included. She represents the heart of our Agriculture Program and CTE Academy, serving as a role model to her peers.

Xander Winter, a Lincoln High School student, is excelling in two CTE Academy courses: Computer Hardware and Software, and Creative Writing. As our “See the Vision” winner, Xander is building skills to pursue his dream of becoming a technology entrepreneur.
A standout student, Xander showcases exceptional creativity, individuality, and attention to detail. His ability to incorporate feedback has impressed both of his teachers. Mrs. Mushaney, his Creative Writing instructor, remarked, “He definitely tells a great story!”

If the Sioux Falls School District announces a late start this winter, this schedule will be shared again as a reminder!
In the event of a Remote Learning Day, students are required to log into Canvas and complete the assignments posted by their teachers. Stay ready and stay on track!


Students from the Engineering and CyberAcademy had the opportunity to tour the Secure Enterprise Asset Management (SEAM) facility, gaining valuable insights into sustainable technology practices.
SEAM specializes in managing the proper disposal of electronics once they’ve reached the end of their service life for local businesses. The company ensures devices are responsibly reused, raw materials are recycled, and electronic waste stays out of landfills.
A big thank you to SEAM for hosting an informative and engaging tour, showcasing the importance of environmental responsibility in the tech industry!
