After a phenomenal season under first year head coach John Vining, the Patriot boys golf team is preparing for the State Tournament at Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 5th-6th).
Lincoln has had one of the best seasons in school history, finishing 1st in a number of tournaments as a team this season, including the Hub City Invitational, Yankton Invite, Mitchell Invite, and the three round City Tournament!
The strength of this Patriot squad is a depth of talent that has rarely been seen in South Dakota. Seniors Quinton Hollan, Brody Herrmann, Max Krenik, Colton Clark, and Henry Kiesow have provided steady leadership and excellent play throughout the season. Juniors Tyson Blom and Drew Velasquez, as well as sophomore Braxton Hollan have been spark plugs and top players as well for LHS.
Coach Vining has been most impressed with the team's commitment to staying patient, accepting the good and bad breaks on the course, and remaining resilient throughout.
