Lincoln's Environmental Ingenuity Club is excited to announce the return of the Frift store!
What is it?
A free thrift store that will happen during Ad Room on March 27.
What can you do to help?
Encourage students (and staff) to bring donations of clothing items to their WIN periods
The top three WIN periods with the most donations will win a prize!
We ask that you store your WIN period's donations in the trash bags provided for you in your mailboxes.
EIC members will pick up donations on March 13th during Ad Room.
If you fill your bag, we can pick up sooner!
EIC members will count the donations at the end of the donation period. (February 23 - March 13)
What can be donated?
Gently used clothing items like shirts, sweaters, hoodies, jackets, pants, shorts, hats, dresses, coats, shoes, bags, sunglasses, etc. Please no undergarments or socks.
Why?
Simple choices, like donating old clothes or shopping at thrift stores, reduce the demand for new clothing. This lowers greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing and transportation. Plus, giving unwanted clothes a second life keeps them out of landfills. You might even discover a new favorite piece for free or score something with unique vintage vibes that can't be found in stores!
