Fourth grade is working on measuring heights. They measured their own heights and a class of first grader heights then they took their data, sorted it, then graph their data to share.
Our first graders were so excited to help the 4th graders with their math!
La semana pasada, cuarto y primer grado trabajaron juntos en una unidad de Medición y Datos.
Cuarto grado está trabajando en la medición de alturas. Midieron sus propias alturas y las de un grupo de alumnos de primer grado. Luego, tomaron sus datos, los ordenaron y los graficaron para compartirlos.
¡Nuestros alumnos de primer grado estaban muy emocionados de ayudar a los de cuarto grado con sus matemáticas!

The Community Learning Centers (CLC) provides the following care during the school year:
Before School Care - at (8) elementary locations
After School Care - at all elementary locations, except for Horace Mann
Extended Care Days - On most No School days, the CLC offers care from 6:30am-6:00pm at (10) elementary locations
Students do NOT have to be enrolled into the before and after school to participate in Extended Care Days. However, they must pre-enroll into the CLC to be able to register for these days.

Some important things to remember:
-Dropping students off without first pulling over to the curb is dangerous to all
-Using the designated crosswalks makes sure your student is safely escorted across the street
-Everyone has somewhere to be, but be sure to watch for kids and go slow in the school zone
-Exiting the circle drive with a right turn can help get you on your way more quickly and is safer than trying to turn left during such a busy time

Hemos notado algunos comportamientos inseguros por la mañana antes de ir a clases. Recuerden que nuestra prioridad es mantener la seguridad de los estudiantes, padres y personal al llegar a la escuela.
Algunos puntos importantes para recordar:
- Dejar a los estudiantes sin detenerse primero en la acera es peligroso para todos.
- Usar los cruces peatonales designados garantiza que su estudiante sea acompañado de forma segura al cruzar la calle.
- Todos tienen un lugar que visitar, pero asegúrese de estar atento a los niños y circule despacio en la zona escolar.
- Salir de la rotonda girando a la derecha puede ayudarle a continuar su camino más rápido y es más seguro que intentar girar a la izquierda en una hora tan concurrida.
