
Activities Update: After day 1 of the state girls tennis tournament, Lincoln sits in 2nd place behind Rapid City Stevens!

Activities Update: The Lincoln girls' soccer team was defeated 3-0 by O'Gorman in the first round of the state tournament. They finish the season 6-7-1.

Activities Update: Lincoln boys soccer won their first round match 6-1 against Sturgis. They face off against Pierre this Saturday at 1:00 on the LHS turf field!

Update (9/16/24) - LHS Girl's Tennis beat Brandon Valley by a score of 7-2 to remain unbeaten on the season!

9/12/24 - Boy's and Girl's cross country teams were both victorious at the Turkey Trot in Prarie View, MN on Thursday. Sophomore Everett Herrboldt was the fastest boy with a time of 16:55.52, while junior Ella Bartz was the fastest Patriot girl with a time of 21:06.87. Nice work Coach Jelen and teams!

The South Dakota Symphony hosted a Young Musicians Concerto Competition today at Augie. We had 5 Lincoln students in the competition. Jing on piano, Irelynn on Clarinet, Kyan on horn, Abrianna on flute, and Jacob on oboe.
The top three positions announced all belonged to Lincoln students!
3rd - Abrianna
2nd - Kyan
1st - Jacob
In addition to winning, Jacob will also be invited to perform with the symphony next season!!

This past Friday, our Theatre Department had the opportunity to perform their play "Monstersongs" at the State One-Act Play Festival.
Awards won: Superior Play, Superior Technicians, Superior Ensemble
Superior Perfomers: Isaac Smith, Emma Madeja, Curran Littel-Jensen, Sadie Brown, Lucas Schreck, Rubben Johnson
Every single student went home with more than one medal. Wow! Excellent job by the cast, crew, and directors!!



Recently, members of our JROTC had the chance to visit Whittier Middle School to mentor some future Patriots. It's always great to see our students out and about giving back to their community!

Rich and Eileen Prince are being inducted into the Sioux Falls School District Athletic Appreciation Hall of Fame for their many years of service in working at countless athletic events for Lincoln High School, and the Sioux Falls School District.
Eileen has officiated middle school and high school volleyball, worked at volleyball, basketball and gymnastics meets including state volleyball and basketball tournaments for the South Dakota High School Activities Association.
Rich is a former basketball and football official. He has also been working at many events including basketball, volleyball, football, wrestling and gymnastics including state volleyball and basketball tournaments for the South Dakota High School Activities Association.
Congratulations, Rich and Eileen! Lincoln High School and the Sioux Falls School District wish to thank you for all that you have done for us in service to our athletic programs over the years!


Due to the snow and increasing winds forecasted, we are cancelling all afterschool and evening activities to allow our students to get home while it is still light out. There will be no practices, performances, or other activities after school is dismissed today, Thursday, December 15, 2022. Thank you.

Due to forecasted winter weather that could make travel dangerous, two semi-final volleyball matches involving Sioux Falls Public Schools and West River schools will be played on Wednesday, Nov 9, 2022. The SDHSAA has approved this one-time schedule change for the safety of athletes, coaches, and fans traveling across the state. The games to be played in the eastern half of the state remain scheduled for Thursday. Please check with your schools/coaches for any additional information.

Congratulations go out to our girls' and boys' cross country teams, who competed in the State Meet this past weekend in Huron. Our girls finished in third place, led by individual STATE CHAMPION Ali Bainbridge!!
Our boys also finished in third at State, led by senior Chase Henderson, who finished in 8th individually.

Our boys' soccer team has had a terrific run through the postseason, and have a chance to play for a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP tomorrow against Rapid City Stevens. The game starts at 11:00 AM, and is being played at Tea Area High School. We would love to have as many Patriot fans as possible there to cheer on our boys!!
